1. Scope of License
SharKNX is licensed, not sold, to you by OWL Automata ("Licensor"). Licensor grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the application on devices you own or control. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by OWL Automata.
2. Intended Use & KNX Safety Disclaimer
SharKNX is a professional tool for monitoring and managing KNX installations.
- Professional Use: This application is intended for professionals familiar with KNX systems. By using SharKNX, you acknowledge that you understand the impact of sending group addresses and commands to a live bus.
- Safety Critical Systems: SharKNX is not intended for use in safety-critical systems (e.g., life support, critical emergency shut-offs). You are responsible for ensuring that its use does not interfere with critical infrastructure.
3. User Responsibility
You acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for all commands and telegrams sent to KNX devices.
- You understand the effects of your actions on the building's technical systems (Lighting, HVAC, Automation).
- OWL Automata is not responsible for any misconfiguration of the installation resulting from the use of this tool.
4. Prohibited Actions
You may not:
- Copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application.
- Modify or create derivative works of the application.
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the application.
5. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OWL Automata shall not be liable for:
- Physical damage to KNX hardware, devices, or building property.
- Loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption.
- Incorrect operation or system malfunctions caused by user interaction. In no event shall total liability exceed the amount paid for the application or fifty dollars ($50.00).
6. Data & Third-Party Services
- Local Data: Project files (
.knxproj) are processed locally. OWL Automata does not store your installation data on its servers. - Services: The app uses RevenueCat for subscription management and may connect to Google Drive for file access. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
7. Termination
This license is effective until terminated by you or the Licensor. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where OWL Automata is registered, excluding its conflicts of law provisions.
