On Android, iOS, and macOS, SharKNX is free to download and comes with a free plan that covers everyday project browsing and bus monitoring. A subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase removes the daily limits and unlocks the device tools and Shark Hunts.
Windows: SharKNX is a one-time paid download from the Microsoft Store. Every feature is included, with no free plan, subscriptions, or daily limits - the rest of this page applies to Android, iOS, and macOS only.

Daily allowances reset at the start of each local calendar day. When an allowance is used up, the app shows the plan picker; you can subscribe or keep using the free plan until the allowance resets tomorrow. Follow-up answers to an assistant clarification question do not count as a new prompt.
On the free plan, the Telegram buffer size slider in Settings is locked at 20.

All three plans unlock the same premium feature set. Fixed limits that apply to every plan - such as the number of saved Shark Hunts - are listed in Limits. Pricing is set by the platform store (App Store, Google Play) and varies by region. Current prices are shown in the plan picker inside the app.
14-day free trial
The Monthly and Yearly plans each start with a 14-day free trial. Billing begins only after the trial ends, and you can cancel before then without being charged. The trial applies to your first subscription only - not to renewals or plan switches. While the trial is running, Settings → Subscription shows how many days are left.
When a trial or subscription ends without renewal, the app returns to the free plan, and the plan picker is shown when the app starts.
Managing your subscription
Open Settings → Subscription, or tap Upgrade Plan / Manage Subscription at the top of the side menu. The page shows your current plan, what it includes, and these actions:

Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current billing period. Premium access remains active until the period ends.
Legacy lifetime access
Users who bought SharKNX when it was a paid download keep lifetime access at no charge. Settings → Subscription shows this as SharKNX Ultimate with the description Legacy lifetime access.
Legacy status is recognised on the device itself, so a reinstall or a new phone could lose it. At app start, legacy users are offered Claim my lifetime access, which secures it to your store account: you receive a personal promo code you can redeem in one tap. Choose Remind me next time to skip it for now.
Offline behaviour
KNX work happens on your local network and does not need the internet, but the app does need to reach the store occasionally to confirm your plan:
- Subscribers keep premium access for up to 3 days since the last successful check, and for 1 day past the subscription's expiry date, while offline.
- Lifetime and legacy access, once confirmed, do not expire offline.
- First launch: a new install must reach the store once before you can load a project or connect to the bus. Until then, the plan status shows Unable to Verify and the app shows a blocking screen. Connect to the internet and tap Restore Purchases to continue.
